We are delighted to have another guest in our talk series this semester, Janne Nora Kummer, 23.01.23, 18:00 CEST, in our Ladenlokal at Zinnowitzer Str. 7, 10115 Berlin.
Janne works as a cross-disciplinary artist on the intersection of Performing Arts, Digital Media, Game Design and Critical Theory. Since 2018, Janne is teaching at Spiel&&Objekt and is also working as an associated researcher at the Wearable Computing Department of Berlin Open Lab.
Their work examines the effects of Digitalisation on the assessment and perception of Bodies, referencing the thematic fields of Techno/Cyberfeminism, New Materialism and Other-than-Human-Agency. In their artistic practice, they currently develop interactive installations, that serve as interfaces between analogue and digital spaces. They use their work as a tool to expose existing power structures and develop alternative queer-feminist future vision.
Most recently, Janne co-performed with Anton Krause on their “Leaking Bodies Toolkit” at HAU Berlin, exploring, how to control an avatar with body data (e.g. breathing or pulse).
This coming Monday, 23.01.2023 at 18:00 in the Ladenlokal (Raum VORNE),
Zinnowitzer str. 7, 10115 Berlin.
